Granny's Last Day at West Point
We were so blessed to have Granny (Grandma Jo Ann) come stay the first two weeks after Zach was born. Before she left, she wanted to get some great pictures of her with them at Trophy Point, since it will likely be the last time (for a long while at least) before she'll be back. Beautiful weather coupled with few tourists pretty much gave us run of the place. Sean loved pushing his brother Zach around--literally in the stroller--and generally running up and down the hills and through the open grass.

Zach's first week
Dad was able to be home for Zach's arrival, but it was up to Granny and Mom to hold down the fort the rest of the week. Zach and Mom came home after three days, where Koby met "another one of those boys".

And we begin again!
So after a six-moth hiatus, the clan has returned to the blog--plus one more! Hopefully the larger clan will be better at keeping the page updated!
We welcomed Zachary Thomas Matthew on May 21st to the world. Not only anticipated by Mom and Dad, big brother Sean is so excited its hard to contain it some days. He gives Zach hugs, pushes his stroller, and is the first to let me know if Zach is upset! That's a lot of work for our little man...

November makes a year!
H
ow fast does time go? For any parent, a year seems both forever and a split-second. We can remember the day Sean arrived, the day we brought him home, and a thousand other moments. And yet, each of those moments seems like a lifetime ago when we look at the face of our grown up little man. I know each year will bring joy and a little sadness as his childhood speeds by, but what a great thing to be a part of. We've captured some of our favorite photos below (the outtakes) from well over 2000 digital images for this month's post, if for no other reason than to try and summarize "forever in a moment":

October is about moving and shaking
October was a GREAT month to be in New York...with leaves starting to change and the crisp air outside, a boy can really explore! Sean spent a good part of this autumn energy getting into things by pulling up, dragging down, and otherwise getting into everything. We couldn't wish for a healthier kid!
The light of our lives, Sean keeps everyone on their toes now. He and Koby are becoming good friends, as the mutual love of food and the highchair bring them closer!
